Thomas Scelo

Dr Thomas Scelo is the Director of the Hong Kong office specialising in the design of performing arts centres, including theatres and concert halls. Thomas has been working in the field of room acoustics since 1999 and with Marshall Day Entertech since 2009.

Thomas has extensive experience in the spatial layout for audience chambers as well as the ancillary spaces. His experience ranges from concept development with architects focusing on achieving intimacy around the stage, to 3D sightline analysis and set-up of the ancillary back and front-of-house spaces around the venue. In close collaboration with the Marshall Day Entertech team, Thomas has worked on new concepts for flexible venues such as the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology's HKUST-Shaw auditorium and the French International School in Hong Kong.
